They play within a delicate balance of tense dream-like psychedelic passages and full throttle punk thrashing. Powerful vocal tiltings, alien theramin oodlings, meandering guitar into a driving bass and drum compose the swirling noise around this band.
We had the honor of asking the band a couple questions in an attempt to unravel their uniqueness amid a sea of psychedelic midwestern bands...
Was the theremin always part of the lineup?
Theremin has been there from the jump. I used to play it without any effects early on, but running it threw a pedal board has given me way more variance in tone.
How'd you guys form?
I started the band with our original guitar player after a little bit of not playing music. I was on a real Oprah trip and decided to start actually doing the things that were happy and healthy for me so I asked him “how would you feel about starting a psychedelic lounge act?” and it evolved from there. It’s been a rotating cast, but every incarnation has been interesting.
Video is the first half of their show at Blind Bob's in Dayton, Ohio on the first leg of their Chaos Promo Spring 2018 tour.
Unfortunately, the rest of their set was not recorded thanks to the vile deeds of tall, hat guy.
